Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts on my article. It really made my day to know someone with “skin in the game” as a stay at home dad took the time to read this and respond. That’s interesting about your experience not getting much praise or pats on the back. I wonder if that has to do with where we live. I’m in Texas (Austin) with lots of friends in Dallas and Houston. To me it seems the gender roles are more traditional in Texas, at least among those born and raised here like me and a lot of my friends. Maybe where you live, gender roles are more progressive? Regardless, you definitely deserve more compliments on your parenting, as do stay at home parents of all genders! Thanks again, great to think about a different perspective.
